Vaibhav Swami, MBA, PE Named Director of Global Operations

Athens, Georgia– The Better Communities Collaborative has just announced that Vaibhav Swami, MBA, PE will continue to serve their growing team as the firm’s Director of Global Operations. His appointment to Directorship went into effect Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Vaibhav Swami, MBA, PE joined the Better Communities Collaborative as Managing Director of Operations in May 2021, bringing nearly 20 years of engineering and operational leadership experience to the BCC. In this role, he oversaw the planning and implementation of strategic action, business development, and budget management for the entire Better Communities Collaborative—a role which he will be expanding upon in his newly appointed position. Known for both his professional efficiency and genial spirit, Swami acts as a driving force behind both the BCC’s long and short-term goals, ensuring that firm operations align with the mission and values of the Better Communities Collaborative.
In his role as Director of Global Operations, Swami will act as a liaison between BCC leadership and affiliates GroundHawk and W&A Engineering, working with regional, state, and national leadership to define operational activities, ensure global operations similitude, and set strategic goals for growth. He will continue to regulate performance conformity with established missions and values of the Better Communities Collaborative, establish and implement best practice operational methods, coordinate resource allocation, oversee client support processes, formulate innovative policies, and oversee the implementation thereof. As a trusted operations leader within the traffic and transportation, utility location, LiDAR remote scanning, and site design services, Swami will plan and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure smooth progress, reliable service delivery, and adherence to all QA/QC procedures. As a tenured resource for both headquarters and branch offices, Swami will also evaluate the overall performance of the BCC team by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics to maintain efficiency and adherence to organizational objectives.

About Vaibhav Swami, MBA, PE
Born and raised in India, Swami earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and his Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso. He also holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. After nearly ten years of life in Pennsylvania, Swami, his wife, and their two sons relocated to Georgia to join the Better Communities Collaborative team. With a multi-decade record of spurring growth, lowering expenses and overhead costs, and increasing internal revenue, he is highly effective in business operations leadership and strategic planning with extensive experience overseeing profit growth, cost containment, operations management, and process improvement.
